One word: joke.

Look, the 1992 Dream Team was a group of the most competitive, tough, basketball-smart, talented but yet seasoned collection of hoops players of all time. The NBA's current most talented player, Kobe Bryant, shed some light on the debate on whether or not the 2012 "Dream" Team could knock off the famous '92 Team. Of course, Kobe being Kobe claimed they (the 2012 Team) would defeat the original Dream Team because they were all older and the guys on 2012 Team are pretty much all in their primes. Most of the guys he was referring to were LeBron James, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Tyson Chandler, Andre Iguodala and Carmelo Anthony.

Alright so your telling me that Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley, and Patrick Ewing weren't in their primes? OK, cool.

Clearly our very own Michael Jordan had somethings to say about Kobe's statements. Jordan said, "No comparison. For him to compare those two teams is not one of the smarter things he ever could have done. I heard Kobe say we were not athletic. But we were smart. He said we were too old, but I was 29 and in the prime of my career. Pip (Scottie Pippen) was 26 or 27, Charles Barkley was 29, Patrick Ewing was 29 and Chris Mullin was 29. Almost everybody was still in their twenties."

Ouch ... take that Kobe.
